So you just spent an hour typing data into a form for your client - then you get to the bottom of form and you click the 'Save' button......and nothing happens. You click again..and still nothing.

Before you panic and throw your computer out the window, take a minute to go through this guide and troubleshoot some of the most common issues our users run into when saving a form.

IMPORTANT - don't navigate away or refresh the page! If you do this, you will lose all the data you entered and look like Bob here:

So first thing to check for:

What does your save button look like?

Red Save Buttons

Depending on the form you are filling out, you may see one of the two red buttons above.

This means that there is something that you typed in your form that is invalid.

Go back through your form and check the following types of fields:

Date fields

Dates should be entered as MM/DD/YYYY format.

1/1/2017 is accepted, but 1/1/17 is not!

Note: the "Date of Activity/Assessment" field at the very top of the form must be in the correct format and cannot be a date in the future.

Time fields

Time fields require that you complete both the hour, minute, and AM/PM selection. Missing any of these will cause the save button to become disabled.

Email fields

Emails must have at least one character in front, followed by the @ symbol, followed by at least one character behind.

URL fields

URLs entered in the form must start with http:// ! Websites written as 'www.google.com' are not valid.

Numeric fields

There are several types of numeric fields, and depending on the settings when the form is created, you may run into issues saving your form.

The different types of number fields you may encounter are: numbers, fractions, currency and percentage.

Each one of these types of numeric fields can be set with a minimum and/or maximum requirement. If your number is outside of the restrictions, you will see a red box highlighted around the numeric field.

Have you checked all of these and it still is showing a red save button? Please reach out to Customer Support so we can take a closer look! Just click on that blue chat icon in the corner and let us know which form you are trying to complete!

Blue Save Buttons that are not Clickable

When you click the blue save button to save your form, the button will become faded and you will not be able to click it. This is so that the system can save all of the information to the database and not allow anyone to accidentally click the button again and save the data twice.

If you are still on the form and the save button is blue and not clickable, this could mean that your form is taking longer to save. This happens if it is a long form, a form with a lot of complex calculations, or if your internet connection is slow. Give it about 30 seconds - 1 minute until you see the green "Success! Your form has been saved!" message and you are returned to the list of forms.

If you have waited and still do not see the message, please contact the support team before moving away from the page!
