You asked and we listened! With user input we've rolled out some new enhancements to VerticalChange. Check them out below.
Google Maps link from Address Fields
When using an address field on a form, the address now has a hyperlink that when clicked will open the address in Google Maps. No action needs to be done to turn this functionality on. The address will automatically link to Google Maps when an address is entered in an address field on a Form Result.
To link to Google Maps, simply click on the blue hyperlink for the address. Google Maps will then open in a new tab for the address entered.
Search for Archived Contacts - Updates
Archived Contacts have been removed from the search when you are searching for contacts in the Jump to contact search bar.
To search for an archived contact, you can use the Contacts grid (or Advanced search) and will still be able to search for contacts using the Standard Filters grid on the right side bar.
If you prefer your account to be able to still have the ability to search for Archived Contacts in the Jump to contact search bar, we have created a new permission to allow users to use the Jump to contact to find Archived Contacts.
To turn on the ability to find Archived Contacts in the Jump to contact search bar, follow these steps*:
Go to Account on the left side menu and then click on Permission Sets.
Find the Permission Set that you would like to still be able to find Archived Contacts in the Jump to contact search bar and click the edit button
Under the Contact section, turn on the Search Archived Contacts permission
Scroll to the bottom and save
Repeat for any other applicable permission sets
*Only users with an "Admin" role are able to edit permissions.
New lua functionality -contacts and relationships field
You can now use lua to pull information from Relationships, Other Contacts, and Users fields in Form Builder. The information from those fields will show as a comma-separated values.
New Report Locking Permission
We have two new permissions that allow users to lock reports.*
Lock all reports - Allows a user to lock or unlock any report.
Lock report - Allows a user to lock or unlock only reports that they created
In order for a Permission Set to be able to use either of the two new lock report permissions, the Permission Set must also have Update report permission turned on.
Users with a Permission Set that allows to lock all reports will be able to lock and unlock all reports, regardless of who created the report.
Users with a Permission Set that allows to lock report will only be able to lock and unlock reports that they created.
To use the new lock report functionality, after saving a report in Report Builder, a new Lock Report toggle option will become available at the top of the left-hand menu in Report Builder. The report must be saved first before the ability to lock the report is available.
If you need to unlock a report after it's been locked, simply turn off the Lock Report toggle by clicking the toggle next to Unlock Report
*Only users with an "Admin" role are able to edit permissions.
Allow Future Dates in the Date of Activity/Date of Assessment (Administered At) Fields
Previously, you were not able to allow for a future date in the Date of Activity or Date of Assessment fields. If you needed to allow for a future date for this field, you would have needed to add an additional date field to allow for future date.
Good news! You no longer need to add additional date fields if you need the ability to set a future date for the Date of Activity or Date of Assessment.
In Form Builder, simply click the box to Allow Future Date of Activity/Assessment and save.
Contact Details Tab Updates
In the Contact Details Tab, you will notice two new updates.
Ability to collapse Contact Subtypes. There are times that you might not want to see the details for all of the different Contact Subtypes on a Contact. You now have the ability to collapse the fields for Contact Subtypes that you might not want to view on a Contact in the details tab. To collapse, click on the up arrow next to Edit. To un-collapse, click on the down arrow next to edit. See below:
Save button changes. When editing a Contact Subtype on the Details tab of a contact, you will now notice that there is a save button at the top and at the bottom of the Contact Subtype section that you are editing. This will allow you to not have to scroll the whole way to the bottom if you are only making edits to the fields near the top of the Contact Subtype.
Ability to search for Activity and Assessment forms when creating a new Activity or Assessment from the Activities and Assessments tabs on a Contact
When you are adding a new Activity or Assessment on a Contact, you now have the ability to type in the name of the Form in the Select an Activity/Assessment drop down. This allows you to not have to scroll down to find a specific Activity or Assessment in the Dropdown menu.
When you click on the Select an Activity/Assessment dropdown, simply start to type the name of the form that you are needing to enter to quickly find the form.
FindHelp Search and Refer Integration
The VerticalChange integration with FindHelp now includes Referral Search & Refer. With this integration, users can search the FindHelp database from a tab on a contact, and make referrals via FindHelp. Contact your Customer Support Manager if you are interested in setting up an integration with FindHelp.
Bug Fixes - Report Builder
Address Fields Fix - we have resolved an issue in Report Builder when separating address fields in to separate columns. Previously, the zip code column would be in the middle of the address columns. This has been resolved and the zip code column is now at the end of the address columns when separating an address field into separate columns.
Phone Number Extension Fix - we have resolved an issue where Phone Number fields with an extension were showing in the following format: 412-555-1212x1234. The fix will now show a Phone Number field with an extension as 412-555-1212 ext. 1234.
Default sorting update - we have updated the default sorting in Report Builder for Contacts that have more than one Form Result. The new default is that it will group first by the Contact UID and then second by the form results from newest to oldest.
