🚩 Only applicable to agencies with the participants feature enabled.
When adding a new participant user, you will need to select which contact in the system the participant user should have access to. So that we don't have a list of ALL of your contacts in the system, the list of contacts to choose from is determined by contact types.
Contact types are particular kinds of individual and group contacts - for example: child, adult, site, classroom, center, etc. You can read more about contact types here.
In order to allow participant users to log in to certain contact types, you will need to turn on the setting on the contact form.
For example, if you want to invite participant users to manage their Classrooms:
1. Click on the Forms button in the lefthand navigation menu
2. Click the Contact tab
3. In the Group Types section, find the Classroom contact type. Then find the column for Users.
4. Click on the linked no.
5. The question 'Manage users for this contact type' will appear. Click Yes.
6. Return to the Participants section by clicking on the Participants button in the lefthand navigation menu.
7. Click + Add participant
8. Open the drop-down next to Organizations. You should now see all of your Classroom contacts available.
