Updated over a week ago

This week, our login page and authentication system will be getting a makeover! Additionally, we’ll be rolling out our new Multi-Factor Authentication feature, which can be enabled by your agency’s administrator if needed! Here’s a look at the changes we have coming and what this means for you:

New Login Page

Our login page is getting a fresh new design! Your email and password will still stay the same, but expect to see this page when logging in:

Reset Your Password

Locked out of your account? It happens! Users will now be able to reset their own passwords, instead of reaching out to the agency administrator for help. Just click the “Don't remember your password?” button, enter in your email address, and we’ll send you a secure password reset link.

Updating our Authentication Process for Better Security

We have updated our user authentication process and, like other leads in healthcare and government, we’ve chosen Auth0 to handle identity management. This will help us keep up to date with industry best practices and ensures our login process meets accessibility guidelines.

Enable Multi-Factor Authentication

MFA provides a method to verify a user's identity by requiring them to provide more than one piece of identifying information, such as a code sent to your phone or email. This ensures that only valid users can access their accounts even if they use a username and password that may have been compromised from a different application.

Each agency will be able to enable MFA, if needed, through their Account Settings. While this is an optional feature, we highly recommend enabling this for your agency as it will go a long way towards protecting your account. Setting up MFA only takes a few minutes - you can find detailed instructions on how to turn this on for your agency here:

Once enabled, we will ask your users to confirm their identity using a secure code sent to either their email or phone number. Please note: a mobile phone number is required for each user to initially set up Multi-Factor Authentication.

We’ll be rolling all of this out gradually over the week of June 22nd. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at support@verticalchange.com
