Permissions Improvements

  • We have extended the permissions range of one of our existing permission settings: "View contact sidebar group --- Allow user to view groups in contact sidebar". Previously, this permission controlled access to a user's visibility of an individual-level's non-family group membership in the sidebar:

This permission setting now additionally controls a user's visibility of a non-family group's members in the sidebar:

Tasks V2 Features Made Live

  • In August, we launched several new improvements around our Tasks feature, that will pave the way for our launch of Tasks V2 later this year! Some of the improvements include:

  • A friendly design of the Create Tasks pop-up:

  • The ability to assign a task to more than one user:

  • Additional permission settings to control Task access, including task creation, viewing the person who assigned you a task, and being able to re-assign a task to another user

  • We'll be rolling out even more changes over the next couple of months, and will keep you updated on those changes as they become live!

Improvements to Dashboards & Guided Forms

  • We have added the contact's name on the sidebar when filling out a Guided Form

Lua Additions

New Features in our Attendance Module

  • We have improved the query that calculates the number of Missing Attendance days. Due to our recent change allowing attendance to be submitted for a day with missing attendance for some contacts, the Missing Attendance query was outdated. It now calculates one missing attendance day as a day where at least one contact in the list is missing an attendance record.

Visual VerticalChange Upgraded to Version 2

  • Our Visual VerticalChange (AKA Superset) data visualization tool has been upgraded to Version 2!

  • Version 2 primarily consists of enhanced UI changes, a smoother workflow, more robust permission settings (including read-only Dashboards), more Dashboard formatting/filtering capabilities, and extra Chart types (formerly renamed Slices)

  • The Customer Success team will be working on documentation to support the new version, as well as reaching out to teams using Visual VerticalChange for additional training

Fixes in Contact Creation

  • Users with permission to view only one program will notice a new feature where creating contacts automatically selects the program. This is a useful new feature that we believe will help eliminate confusion around program enrollments. We discovered a bug, however, where programs that had categories did not allow the user to select which category the enrollment was for. We have fixed the issue, and users with access to one program can now select a category, if necessary

Fixes with Tasks

  • In August, we resolved an issue a few users were reporting where the system was sending them repeated Tasks notification emails.

Fixes with Dashboards & Guided Forms

  • We squashed a bug where deleting a guided form brought you to a missing page.

  • We have also fixed a bug where the "Date of Last Completed" date being reported on the Dashboard was showing the most recent form result date. It is now showing the latest form result date.

  • For agencies using the Participants feature, we fixed up a bug occurring when creating new participant users or editing existing participant users, where the drop-down for Permission Sets was blank

Fixes in the Attendance Module

  • A bug where deleted contacts were still showing up in an active session's Attendance and Roster list has been squashed!

Fixes in Visual VerticalChange

  • Several users with access to our data visualization tool were reporting an "Unknown Error". The error was related to our recent upgrade of the tool, and has been resolved!
