Viewing Your Tasks

You can view your tasks by clicking on the Tasks button in the left-hand navigation menu.

The My Tasks section of this page will show you a list of all of your assigned tasks, with the Name, Description, Due Date, and which user assigned you the task (if applicable).

Tasks that have a link to a page will have the Name hyperlinked, and clicking on it will bring you to the relevant page.

Your tasks will also be grouped into the following categories:

  • Overdue - tasks that are past due

  • Due Today - tasks that are due today

  • Upcoming - tasks that are due in the future, or do not have a specific due date

  • Completed - tasks that have been completed

You can expand/collapse each of these sections to more easily view your tasks.

Updating Your Tasks

If you need to make changes or re-assign one of your tasks, you can do so by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the task.

Permissions Note: You can control what your users are allowed to update through their permission set.

  • "Update task assignment --- Allow user to reassign a task" - gives the user access to re-assign a task. If this is not enabled, they will not be able to assign the task to a new user

  • "Update task --- Allow user to edit a task" - gives the user access to update the Name, Description and Due Date of a task. If this is not enabled, they will not be able to make changes to any of their task details.

Once you've clicked on the pencil icon, a pop-up will appear where you can update the task Name, Description or Due Date.

If you should no longer be assigned the task, you can select one user to re-assign the task to.

Or, if the task was a mistake, you can click on the red trash can icon to delete the task. (Be careful - this will permanently delete the task, and it cannot be restored!)

Permissions Note: You can grant/remove access to this button through the permission setting "Archive task --- Allow user to archive a task".

Once you are finished making your changes, click Update Task. The changes will be reflected on your Task list. If the task was re-assigned to another user, that user will receive a notification that they have a new task.

Completing Tasks

Once the task is complete, simply check the box next to the task, and it will become a Completed Task, and you're all done!

You can view your completed tasks by expanding the Completed section. If you'd like, you can archive any completed tasks to remove them from the list, but note that it will remove the task permanently and cannot be restored!
