How to use the Date Field when creating or editing a Form

Adding to a Form

To add a Date Field to your form, simply click the Date button under Available Fields section, or click and drag it into the desired location in your form.

Once it is added to your form, you can toggle open the settings and edit the field. For this field type, you can:

  1. Change the Label.

  2. Set it as a Required field (adds a red asterisk next to the Label).

  3. Allow future dates to be added to this field. 

  4. Set an acceptable date range for the field. This can either be absolute (or between a start and end date), or relative (between X and Y number of days relative to filling out the form).

Filling out a Form

When filling out a form for a contact or group with a date field, it will appear as below. You can type in the date (using the required MM/DD/YYYY format), or you can click on the calendar icon to select a day from the calendar view.

If your date falls outside of the field's settings (it is in the future when Allow future date was not selected, or it is outside of the acceptable range), the Save button will turn red and you will not be able to save until you correct the date.
