When filling out a form result on a group contact, if there are group members, you have the option to select specific group members that the form result pertains to:

You can also import this information when importing group form results, using our Advanced Importer!

Once you have set up your data map for the form you would like to import, you will see the example template a new column called participant_ids.

This column takes a list of VerticalChange Unique IDs or External IDs. You can add one or more by separating the IDs with a comma. You can also leave this column blank, and it will not select any participants.

Note: The IDs you put into this column must match an existing contact in the system, who is a group member of the group you are importing onto! Learn more about how to add members to a group here.

Importing the template with contact IDs added to the participant_ids column will create a form result on the Group, and then select each participant in that form result. The participant will have a copy of the form result displayed on their profile.

If you are updating the data in an already existing form result, you can:

  1. Leave the participant_ids column blank - this will not change any of the currently selected participants, and will simply update the data you need in the form

  2. Add new participants to be selected - this will select new participants in the form results, and leave the participants already selected as is

Currently there is no way through the importer to de-select a participant once they have been selected - this would need to be updated manually by editing the form result.
